History of the Business
Vickery Wines was established in 1989 in Hertfordshire, England as an Australian wine specialist to sell Australian wines into the largely untapped UK and European markets.

Islay Kennedy, the principal, is a graduate of Roseworthy College, South Australia and as a result of her time there has an extensive network of contacts throughout the Australian wine industry.

The company has established extensive contacts throughout the UK and Europe. 

Over the years, Vickery Wines has also established itself as a specialist niche company and is now one of the largest independent Australian wine specialists working in the UK.

The company was incorporated in August 1999.

Method of Trading
Vickery Wines trades in a number of different ways, as a commissioned agent, outright purchaser, and also as a broker for the products sold.

THE WAY FORWARD / FUTURE TRADING REGULATIONS

  • Vickery Wines is keen to work with companies with like-minded principals.
  • To obtain further exclusive agencies from other geographical areas in Australia which we do not currently represent.
  • To continue to place our emphasis on quality and value for money ratios.
  • To open up new markets and establish additional strategic partnerships in other European countries.
  • To obtain increased market penetration throughout the UK and European wine trade via Off Trade retail outlets, Direct Mail, wholesale, Internet and On Trade restaurants clubs and pubs.
  • To work jointly with our suppliers and customers to establish and build brands.
